Get Involved: Frequently Asked Questions
How much time does it take? +
The committee meets no fewer than six times a year, in the evening on the second Tuesday of alternate months, either in person or online. Some members also take on smaller pieces of work between meetings, but that's entirely optional and as big or small as you can manage.
What happens at a meeting? +
We discuss patient feedback and concerns, work with the practice on service improvements, and act as a sounding board on issues affecting patients. Practice staff are regularly invited to attend and answer questions directly.
Do I need any experience? +
No. We welcome patients from all backgrounds who care about improving local health services — no prior committee or healthcare experience is expected.
Can I just receive updates without attending meetings? +
Yes. Joining our mailing list via the form above keeps you informed without any obligation to attend meetings or take on a role.
Who can join? +
Any patient registered with Modality Mid Sussex is automatically a member of the PPG, as is the carer of a registered patient. Getting involved with the committee itself is open to any member.
